We’re thrilled to share that The Great Oregon Steam-Up has once again been voted Best Annual Event in the Best of the Willamette Valley Awards, earning first place for the fifth consecutive year!
As the premiere event of Powerland Heritage Park, The Great Oregon Steam-Up is made possible by the dedication of hundreds of volunteers who give their time, energy, and passion to bring history to life. From operating equipment and preparing the grounds to welcoming guests and keeping everything running smoothly, their efforts are the heart of this event.
This honor means so much because it comes from the people who attend, support, volunteer, exhibit, demonstrate, share, and celebrate with us year after year. It truly belongs to our entire community, our volunteers, museums, exhibitors, families, collectors, visitors, and friends.

This award means the world to us because volunteers are the heart of Powerland. They restore history. They run equipment. They welcome guests. They teach, repair, organize, plan, guide, build, clean, preserve, and inspire.
Every museum, event, exhibit, train ride, trolley ride, demonstration, and memorable visitor experience is made possible because people choose to give their time here.
